Chicago Founder Member Turns 80 Today

Lee David Loughnane was born on October 21, 1946, in Elmwood Park, Illinois, USA. He is best recognised for his role as a founding member of the rock band Chicago.

As a member of the horn section trio, he plays trumpet and flugelhorn, while providing backing vocals and sometimes leading.

He wrote or co-wrote several songs across the band's catalogue, most notably the hit singles "Call on Me" and "No Tell Lover".

Following the recent passing of Walter Parazaider and the retirements of fellow band members James Pankow and Robert Lamm from touring due to declining health, Loughnane remains as the only founding member of the band.
