Deeply Dippy - Richard Fairbrass is 73 Today.

Today (22nd September) is the 73rd birthday of “Right Said Fred” lead singer Richard Fairbrass.

Their two standout hits from the early 1990s were “T’m Too Sexy” and the exceptionally excellent (IMO) “Deeply Dippy.” The band achieved their only UK number one with the latter, which stayed at the top for three weeks.

In my view, the song is utterly superb due to its brass interlude.

While Right Said Fred are chiefly recognised worldwide for "I'm Too Sexy," Deeply Dippy confirmed the band's ability to follow up their novelty hit with another strong success. 

The single's success propelled their debut album to the top of the UK album chart and cemented the group's early-1990s commercial peak.
