This Saturday sees the final Classic of the English flat racing season, with the St Leger at Doncaster.
Doncaster St Leger from 2004 |
The St Leger is the oldest of the 5 Classic races, first being run way back in 1776. It is also the longest of them all at an extended 1 mile 6 furlongs and makes up the 3rd leg of the English Triple Crown.
